Parts of apps
Microsoft Teams WebView…Teams web view
◐ Close the app instead
Shows Teams’ chats, calendar and meetings.
What it is
Teams draws its screens with a built-in copy of Microsoft Edge. These helpers are that web view.
If you close it
Teams shows a blank or reloading window. Close Teams instead.
The verdict
◐ Close the app instead. A part of an app. Closing it alone breaks something, so close its app.
In Activity Monitor
Microsoft Teams WebView…
… means any name that starts this way.
From Procession’s guide, in the words the app shows.
