What it is

Installed with Chrome. It wakes a few times a day to check for updates, then exits.

If you close it

Nothing visible. It checks again later. You can switch it off in Login Items, but Chrome then stops updating itself.

● Safe to close. An app you can quit with ⌘Q. Save your work first if it asks.
