What it does
- Why is my Mac slow? One sentence answers it, from memory pressure, swap, processing and heat. Then come the one to three apps that would help most, and about how much each would give back.
- Every app, introduced. A browser with 60 tabs is one row, with its tabs and helpers added up. Each row says what it is, what happens if you close it, and a clear verdict: safe to close, close the app instead, leave it, or busy for a reason.
- Know what you can leave alone. Over 200 plain-English explanations cover the apps people use, their helpers and the parts of macOS that turn up in Activity Monitor. Look up any name with ⌘F.
- See how the day went. With the unlock, history keeps a reading every minute on your Mac: today, 7 and 30 days, the rough patches, the long busy spells, and the apps that are biggest day after day.
- Close what helps, one at a time. Procession brings each app forward and you close it with ⌘Q. Afterwards it tells you how much came back. Nothing ever closes by itself.
